Back from our cruise to the Bahamas and Disney for a day!

Let me start by saying BEST vacation ever!!! We had an amazing time and we plan to save for a cruise every year! lol, whether or not that works out is another question, but we at least hope to do so!  I am so glad me and Mike went away together. It was some much needed alone time with no distractions ie: video games, t.v. shows, barking dogs!.  The scenery couldn't have been more beautiful and It was definitely the greatest honeymoon we never had. We also went to Disney's Epcot center because they we're having their annual food and wine festival.  Since the cruise pulled in at 7a.m and Orlando was only an hour away we thought why the heck not? Another day of vacation? count us in! From the moment we stepped on board we we're available to start eating.  What a great way to start a cruise! lol. of course Mike wanted to hit up the buffet.  Since I was on my strict diet for PCOS I went to the salad bar.  Yeah, that lasted a day! I tried though.  We we're getting charged $20 a day for gratuity so I wanted to feel we're getting our monies worth! I didn't over eat per say but I definitely didn't eat healthy. I guess you can say I ate what I wanted but with portion control. I filled my plates up and just had a few bites of each thing. The main dining room was my all time favorite! The food was fantastic and the fact that you order as many appetizers, main entrees and desserts as you want is awesome! Then when you're all done you just get up and leave.  The cruise was the best pampering either of us have ever experienced.  Here are some pictures of our cruise and Disney!

pack pack pack!!

So Mike is out of town and I get to pack both of our bags for our cruise this Sunday!!! I'm actually excited to do this because I get to choose ALL of his outfits!! har har har!! For 1 whole week he won't be wearing a band t-shirt. LOL, not that anything is wrong with that, but a little change every now and then never hurt anyone. Not to mention he'll look smokin hot in the clothes I picked out! Hopefully we'll have a little Bahama Baby! hee hee. I'm going through our cruise checklist like a mad man! making sure everything is checked off from Q-tips to passports!

BW results are in!

I saw Dr. Mayer again today to talk about my BW results and have a SIS (saline infusion sonogram).  During the SIS they hook you up to a catheder and fill your tubes up with saline.  It caused very mild cramping and was overall a quick and painless procedure. whew!  Oh yeah and I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. GREAT!! (insert sarcasm here) He showed me my ovaries on the screen and they looked like swiss cheese or as some say a pearl necklace.  Just a bunch of black circles forming a circle. Which basically means my ovaries are enlarged and containing numerous small cysts located along the outer edge of each ovary.  Also it's harder for women who have PCOS to get pregnant because they're anovulatory, which means they don't ovulate regularly.  While the causes are unknown, insulin resistance, diabetes, and obesity are all strongly correlated with PCOS. On to the BW results. Everything seemed fine...except that I had super high insulin and was pre diabetic. yikes.  I am now on metformin and a strict diet which should help my insulin level out and my body regulate. I'm not going to lie.  When he told me I had PCOS all I could think was "Of course I do! What else does God want to throw our way? We've already been trying almost two years what's another year or two?"  But then I calmed down and I know that when God wants us to have our little angel he will bless us with them.  I just have to keep trusting in God and keep having faith he has a plan for us.  The beginning of this month was 1 year since our miscarriage.  As hard as it was all we can do is move forward and keep our eyes on the prize of what's to come! To new beginnings!

To Grams and Gramps we go!

We took a trip down to Fort Myers, FL today to see Mikes Grandparents.  From day one of meeting them they have always made me feel like family.  My grandparents died when I was very young. I hardly remember anything about them so I was happy to marry into a family with Grandparents as wonderful as them! I love them like they we're my own. They are so cute and we love spending time with them! We want to make it a point to see them more often.  It's worth the 3 hour drive. I also need to make it a point to bring my camera with me when we go to take updated pictures! For those of you who don't know who they are, here is their picture!
Look how cute they are matching!! This was Xmas '08

This was Xmas '09 with the whole family. Aunt Susan is taking the picture.
